Alan C. Wald Paintings

"Original compositions are first drawn with ink-wash on handmade paper. I take photographs based on these original compositions. I then work on the images in a computer with Photoshop. Once I have laid out the image in the computer I print it on archival paper as a basis for the painting. The print is cut and glued to a board and worked on with many layers of oil paint, glaze and varnish."
